Some are located closer to coastal towns and more easily accessible - you can lodge at small towns and experience the rural life in Japan

Rain or sunshine - each temple offers an atmospheric experience but you will sure find your own favorites, it is sometimes about the beauty of the temple and sometimes about the trail
